Fort Wilderness
Walt Disney World

In the heart of the Walt Disney World is an outdoor camping site called Fort Wilderness. Fort Wilderness has cabins, campsites, and RV sites. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is the ideal camping experience. Fort Wilderness is located inside Walt Disney World, Orlando Florida. This web page will focus on the Fort Wilderness campsites, and RV sites. When you're in the campground you're away from all of the hustle-bustle of the theme parks, you are able to get a little peace and quiet. There is also plenty to do at Fort Wilderness if you are not into resting.

Campsites: Fort Wilderness has 784 traditional camp sites, which are divided into a number of loops containing closely spaced (yet very well maintained) camp sites. They feature electric, water, sanitary disposal and cable television hookups. All camp sites have a paved driveway pad, picnic table, and grill for cook outs. The sites are grouped into what is called loops. Loops have restrooms, private showers, an ice machine, telephones, and laundry facilities. Each site has room for your RV, fifth wheel, motor home, popup trailer or a tent. There is also room for one car. All other cars must be left at the main parking lot. There are also partial hookup campsites available. These sites are minus sanitary disposal (sewer drops) and cable hookup. Pets are welcome at certain campsites for an additional daily fee.

The sites at Fort Wilderness are great. They are level, clean, most have shade, and are easy to back into. One thing that is nice is that the trash is picked up every day, and there are receptacles for every 4 sites. It's the most Magical campground that I know of!!!

Your primary choices are whether you want a partial hookup, full hookup, or you want a preferred campsite.

Partial Hook Up sites have water and electric only, these are mainly for Tents and pop ups
Full Hook Up sites have water, electric, & sewer
Preferred Sites sites have water, electric, sewer, cable and are located in prime areas of the Fort Wilderness resort

There is a $5.00 per day pet charge. Guests in tents and pop-up campers may not keep pets at their site unattended. Pets are restricted to certain loops.
