Fort Wilderness
Walt Disney World
Restrooms:
Fort Wilderness Comfort Stations are truly the best of any campground
I have ever stayed in. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Fort
Wilderness offers real restrooms with flushing toilets, and sinks. The
restroom in my loop had been remodeled, to include new tile, water faucets
and toilets with the automatic sensors. Each one has an ice machine, men’s
and ladies bathroom and showers, a Laundromat which is found between the
ladies and men’s bathroom. I only visited the men’s side but
as you walk in you will see it has 2 parts. In the front there is a handicapped
accessible toilet stall and a regular stall, 2 urinals, 4 sinks in a counter
top with mirror the length of them. On the opposite wall is a narrow shelf
that is the same length as the sink countertop and another mirror on that
side.
The rest of the room is devoted to the showers. There are 3 separate
shower stalls with a dressing area, benches and hooks to hang up your
stuff. One larger handicapped shower stall is offered that has benches
inside for mobility impaired people and large enough for a wheelchair.
Restrooms are cleaned several times during the day. They do a thorough
job at no time were the restrooms ever dirty. You need to time yourself;
it does get busy in the mornings as folks rush to get ready for the parks.
We are early risers and I usually had the place to myself.
