Fort Wilderness Activities: Fort Wilderness has plenty of outdoor activities including golf, two pools, a kiddy pool, white sand beach, playground, watercraft rental, bike rentals, tennis, volleyball, fitness trail, fishing, campfire program, pony rides, horseback riding, basketball, shuffleboard, petting zoo and a chance to see up close the Clydesdale horses. Fort Wilderness offers a campfire program which is a sing along with Chip & Dale and a Disney movie. There is a concession stand that sells hotdogs, popcorn, snacks, candies, marshmallows. The concession stand also sells sticks to roast your marshmallows on, and a kit to make smores. A movie schedule is given to you when you check in. During inclement weather the sing along is moved to the porch of the Meadow Trading Post.

The animals at the petting zoo are a few goats, a pot-bellied pig, two sheep, a small horse (looks like a donkey), and a small cow (specifically bred to be smaller). There are two feed machines that dispense pellets for feeding the animals.

Hay rides are available right outside Pioneer Hall, at 9:30 p.m.

Many people get around by golf carts while at Fort Wilderness. These Golf Carts are available at the Bike Barn you can reserve them up to one year in advance by calling (407) 824-2742. Carts rent for a 24 hour period. All golf carts have windshields. Reservations are strongly recommended. We did not rent one this trip, I prefer to ride our bikes, great chance for quality time with my sons, and the exercise keeps the doctor happy.

You can do things elsewhere at WDW or other resorts. You can play golf, mini-golf, tennis, or get a spa treatment. There is Downtown Disney, you can go dancing, patronize a comedy club, see a current movie, visit Cirque de Soleil or dine at a restaurant with any number of interesting menus. The activities depend on your wallet, your tastes, and your energy level on any given day.

Another activity located at Fort Wilderness is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a 2 hour dinner show that features "all you can eat home-style Fixing’s and a foot stomping, handclapping' western revue". Showtimes are 5:00 pm, 7:15pm & 9:30 pm.
