If your are staying at a Disney World Resort you can easily go back to your resort for a mid afternoon nap, and return refreshed for the evening. Have everyone wear the same color shirt or hat, to make it easier to find your group in a crowed. To avoid getting tried or sore begin walking 30 to 40 minutes two months before your trip. The average walk at Disney World is about 9 miles. Drink lots of fluids to avoid dehydration, keep a juice box in your fanny bag incase of emergencies. Depot Dan's wife carries a backpack Go early. Beat the crowds, this allows you to visit attractions in quick succession, and avoid the parking and transportation problems that occur around 11:00 a.m. when the park's admission is the greatest. Theme park tickets demagnetize easily, so keep them in a separate pouch or pocket, away from your credit cards. Disney will gladly replace your passport if it does not swipe at the turnstile entrance to one of the theme parks. But this involves a trip to Guest Services, and it’s no fun when you’re itching to get to the rides. Schedule you character breakfast on the morning you’re set to depart. Young kids are sometimes afraid of the characters. Seeing them on the first day may leave them scared. They may avoid the characters for the rest of the trip. The morning’s are the best time to tour the park and you do not want to spend all morning having breakfast. If you are not sure your child is up to the Space Mountain. Start them off with something mild. If they handle it okay build up the ride intensity. At the end of the day you may find that they want to ride it several times. This is better than trying to beat the crowds, riding the scariest first, and then your child refuses to ride anything for the rest of the day.
